TJ Harkness

Hi, my name is TJ Harkness and I am a partner here at RedShed Baseball. I have known Trent my entire life and trained under him as I began to reach the elite levels of my playing career. Baseball has always been my passion and escape from the real world. I fell in love with the structure and difficulty it takes to become an elite player.

I played on numerous traveling baseball all-star teams growing up. I started taking lessons from the great Bob Harris when I was about 8 years old. I attended Fremont Ross High School where I started all four years earning 3 1st team All-Conference Awards, 3 1st team All-District Awards, and a 2nd team All-State Award. I finished my career at Harris’ when I was 17 years old and that is when I became an instructor for him. I would do this up until the time I left for college.

I attended Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. There I would continue my baseball career and education. I started all four years learning from a nationally known coach, Matt Palm. I graduated in 2016 with my BA double majoring in Criminal Justice and History. Throughout my time at Heidelberg I picked up ample amounts of knowledge on the game that I plan to pass to the next generation of softball and baseball players.

I am now back home in Fremont, Ohio. Being apart of RedShed Baseball is both an honor and a privilege. I am very excited to begin molding and influencing the games of the next generation and doing so with a former instructor of mine who helped mold me into who and what I am today.
