Trent Logan

I want to personally welcome you to the RedShed Baseball & Softball website. I am Trent Logan, the Owner Instructor at RedShed. My passion for baseball started like many do, at a young age. Baseball was my favorite past time growing up with Mom and Dad driving me all over the state and country to chase my dream. I started taking private lessons at the age of 11 from my career long mentor Bob Harris. I took 1-2 lessons per week and the results were incredible. I went from being an average player to playing for prestigious travel teams, countless all-star teams, Coast to Coast Baseball Team competing in Puerto Rico, and capping my Division 1 high school career by winning All-District honors while maintaining a 0.400 batting average. I was given the opportunity to begin teaching private lessons at the age of 15 from my mentor. I taught private lessons at his facility from the age of 15 through 24, a wonderful ten years.

During my senior year of high school I was faced with an incredibly difficult decision. I had honed my baseball skills for so long and attended so many college camps and showcases that I was prepared to play at the next level. The University Mount Union and Eric Bunnell were incredibly interested in me attending and playing for them; however deep down I knew I wanted to be a Chemical Engineer. While I could have went to Mount Union and transferred out to an engineering school later, this was not in the best interest of my professional career. I was forced into a nightmare. Baseball or Career? I chose career and decided to pursue my Bachelors of Chemical Engineering from The University of Toledo where I decided to forego my baseball dream and focus hard on my education.

While in college I had the opportunity to be a varsity baseball coach at Clyde High School where I came on-board as a catching coach and ended up taking a lead responsibility of both catching and hitting mechanics. I graduated college and again was forced to move away for my career.
I couldn’t stay away from baseball. I started coaching a travel 12u tournament team and grew with them up through 18u ball. I had the opportunity to return back to my hometown of Fremont, OH in 2013 where I could again enjoy my hobby with my family and friends. Due to a demanding travel schedule for work and home demands, I decided it was best to start my own facility, “RedShed Baseball & Softball.

TJ Harkness

  • Hi, my name is TJ Harkness and I am a partner here at RedShed Baseball. I have known Trent my entire life and trained under him as I began to reach the elite levels of my playing career. Baseball has always been my passion and escape from the real world. I fell in love with the structure and difficulty it takes to become an elite player.
  • I played on numerous traveling baseball all-star teams growing up. I started taking lessons from the great Bob Harris when I was about 8 years old. I attended Fremont Ross High School where I started all four years earning 3 1st team All-Conference Awards, 3 1st team All-District Awards, and a 2nd team All-State Award. I finished my career at Harris’ when I was 17 years old and that is when I became an instructor for him. I would do this up until the time I left for college.
  • I attended Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. There I would continue my baseball career and education. I started all four years learning from a nationally known coach, Matt Palm. I graduated in 2016 with my BA double majoring in Criminal Justice and History. Throughout my time at Heidelberg I picked up ample amounts of knowledge on the game that I plan to pass to the next generation of softball and baseball players.

Currently, I am a senior accounting and finance major at Heidelberg University where I also play for their baseball team at third base. The past two years I earned Academic All-OAC honors. My instruction experience with younger athletes includes coaching travel summer baseball teams for Dirtbags Baseball and Diamond Hit Club, in the Cleveland area. In the mean time while I was home, I gave lessons and workout plans to younger athletes looking for extra instruction.

Trevor Trimble

Hello! I’m Trevor Trimble, the Strength and Speed Instructor at RedShed. I graduated from Fremont Ross High School, where I played football for 4 years. During my time there, I earned All-Conference Awards and was honored as the Offensive Lineman of the Year in my senior year. I started competing in powerlifting back in 2010 and have been actively participating ever since. Throughout this period, I’ve set 17 national and state records as a Lifetime drug-free lifter. My proudest achievement is bench pressing 585 lbs as a teenager, which ranked among the top 5 benches ever for my age group at the time. From a young age, I was fortunate to learn from some of the smartest and strongest individuals in powerlifting. Through their connection with Louis Simmons of Westside Barbell, I gained experience, knowledge, and a deep understanding of the conjugate method. With this knowledge, I’ve developed a blue-collar, no nonsense approach to research-based training, grounded in consistency and hard work. In addition to being a Lineman coach at Fremont Ross, I’m passionate about demonstrating the importance of strength training in sports. Effective training is often about consistently hitting singles. Here at RedShed we want to show that the key to success in training is to start small, achieve victories, and then continuously build on those successes. So whether you’re aiming to boost your athletic performance on the field or court, or simply want to feel and look better, we offer strength training programs tailored to meet your needs.
